Our History
Gillibrand Warriors Football Club was founded in 1998 with the sole aim of providing supervised football to children of all ages within the Chorley area regardless of ability. No child was ever turned away and anyone was welcome to join.
In February 2009 Gillibrand Warriors was awarded the status of Charter Standard Development Club. This development status displays a club's determination and commitment to developing their club further and caters for the growing demands on its members to the minimum FA criteria.
The playing format of junior football has changed so much since the Club was formed and it looks as though the current format will be with us for some time. To support these changes the Club has put together a strategy for coaching and player development that encompasses the four formats currently recognised within junior football (5v5, 7v7, 9v9 and 11v11). The 'Gillibrand Warriors Blueprint' will demonstrate to parents what they can expect from the Club (from U7 to U16) when their son or daughter signs up to be a member.
Gillibrand Warriors supports teams in the Mid Lancs Colts Junior League (MLCJFL) with teams from Under 7 to Under 10 and Central Lancs Junior League (CLJFL) with teams from Under 11 to Under 16.
